I was wondering if I could fit a ported box in my truck. Size is a really big constraint here and I'm not sure if it would work. I have about 1.8ft^3 per sub(minus port area). They will be run off of ~550 watts right now. I'll be upgrading amps and changing boxes later. But for now I would rather run ported, but if I don't have enough space then I'm going with sealed. I'm going for sound quality here as well.
    Thanks,

Well, the question would be then - What are the maximum dimensions allowable for the area for the enclosure size.

Once that is established, then it can be determined as to port size and porting so the max watts you intend to put to the subs will not cause any port noise issues.

Sometimes, it's not always about having a huge port as is more about having just enough port to do the job.
