Kinda OT, but not really. Big screens

what do you think of Pioneer widescreen TVs? I looked at the Plasmas and just cannot justify their cost and upkeep for the smaller screens available. So I decided on RPTVs. In particular, their model SD-533HD5 . I wanted bigger but the picture was just too big, so I opted for 52 inches or so (I chose 53). I've got a killer deal on one ($2400 tax included out the door by an authorised dealer for a $4000 unit!), I'm planning on picking it up the weekend after Valentines day (my anniversary too) and am looking for well versed opinions.
