i'm new i dont know my way aorund but i need help with my system, i have a pair of 12" type r's 200-500rms/1500peak,with a kenwood mono amp 500rms 4ohm stable 900x1@2 or 1 ohm. when i wire the subs in parellel @ 4ohms they sounded nice but when i tried wiring them in 2 ohms the amp began to cut off.any suggestions
Poor ground Low voltage, shorted speaker wire, bad speaker, , bad amp, cd player skipping, Impedance of the subs too low, Poor ground connection, turning it up too loud, poor ground connection............. One more additional note.... Running an amp at a lower impedance does hurt SQ to an extent, the dampning factor especially.......
