OK, my friends may now be taking out the 3 12" Soundstream SPL's that I was asking this board about a few months ago, cause she's selling her car. Now, she's gonna want to sell them, they are basically brand new, she bought them brand new a few years ago, and they have been in the original, un-opened cardboard boxes till we bought a box for them a few months ago. What are they worth? She was asking $400 for them before when they were brand new, without the box, but I don't know what she's gonna want for em now. I was thinkin about makin a trade with her, for either my 10" Punch He2, or my 2 10" Punch He's. Plus cash, of course. How would these subs compare, to, say, JL 12W0's, as far as SQ? Do they have Decent SQ, or are they manely SPL subs, as said in the name? Thanks.
I only heard one set up with them, and it was not that great of a install, poooooooooor box design, so I can not really judged what they will do given the proper box
Does anybody even know what these are worth? What about a Soundstream Class A 10.2 Chrome? What is that worth?
Guess that all depends on what you personally think of SoundStream. I bought a 10.2, a Picaso, and 4 Exact 10's off a friend for a cool grand... slightly used... guess I like SS. This all goes into my Tacoma. It currently has a Renoir w/ Exact 6.3's. Just waiting to get back up to where he lives to build a custom box and amp enclosure. On the question of monitary worth, can't say for sure, but just saw 2 Exact 10's priced at $359 for the pair and I believe the 10.2 retailed at around 8 bills...but who pays retail? ByteMe
