How do we all feel about Bush and his decision about Iraq? I have a few thoughts but I want to see what you people think first
I believe he made the right choice despite all his opposition. In the long run, taking out Saddam will solve alot of problems that we (the public) may not even know about yet. I have a pretty good feeling the government has a little more info than we do to base their decisions on. We probably have half the reasons they have for going to war.

no one in the world will ever know the truth about anything, unless your THERE You can say they found Wepons, I can say they PLANTED weapons Personally I dont think iraq posed a DIRECT threat to the US, this is proven to its inability to defend itself, the closest threat was to Isrial(sp?) which we all know we have to protect at all costs for some reason, why I still dont know, This is also why we have not invaded N Korea, they pose no direct threat to the US or to Isreal, so until they do we will let them be... i feel the "liberation" of iraq is/was never a reason for going in, but a good cover, if the U.S. cared about the people they would have finished the job 10 years ago, I personlly feel we need to stop being the worlds police, and take care of our homeland, the "terroism" started because the U.S. Government feels it knows what the world should be doing, yet it can not even provide homes, and heathcare for the majority of it citzens.... :unsure: Schools have to lay off teachers and increase Class Sizes, yet we can Fight someone elses battles? it is ludcirs, every forien policy should be rewritten, hell the entire government should be rewritten We need another Revlution here, it is comming, maybe not in my life time, but in the next 100 years, if the world survives itself that long, we will see another Civil/Revultionary war here...
Mike you are the most cynical man alive! One part of enhancing domestic life is eliminating foreign threats. Whether or not Iraq poses a direct threat to us right not is irrelevant to the fact that Saddam is a Sultanist. His methods of rule are tyranical, barbaric and inhumane. It is without a doubt that his growing power and the inevitable passing down of the thrown to his sons is only the beginning. Their existence is a threat to World Peace and furthermore a future threat to us. Why wait for the assholes to attack us when we can get them while they are still building up. Operation Iraqi freedom is one of those "killing two birds with one stone" moves. We liberate the people and we assure our own safety and supremacy. I doubt that America wants to be the World's Police but it is in a position where it has to be the big brother. Just like you Mike, I too can doubt and second guess everything that is happening. I personall think you are trying to end the existence of man kind by spreading hysteria and advocating revolutions within an already prosperous country. I already mentioned why America supports Isreal so I wont be going into that again, but dont overlook the fact that Isreal is the only real and thriving democracy in the Middle East. The fact of the matter is that unlike Isrealies, the Palestinians dont want peace, its as simple as that. Isreal has no resources, it is an arid land that only came to the attention of the Palestinians once it was occupied by Isrealies. Those idiots say that they were the primary inhabitants of Isreal well all I have to say is tough shit. Go talk to the Native Americans and ask them if you can help them with the stick that they have in their ass curtousy of the "white man". They might have lived in Isreal as tribes but that was the past. Isreal won the war, Isreal gained Independence and Isreal is now no longer theirs. Move to Canada and call it a day. You can say we all day long that we as the public don't get the whole story, and i'll agree with you for the most part. And you don't think Iraq poses a DIRECT threat to the U.S.? How do you define DIRECT? I believe Iraq has direct ties to Bin Laden....and if that's so, although it is an indirect threat in a way, attacking Iraq directly is a way to partially solve this problem. I agree with Civic, i really can't stand it when people complain about the government, yet continue to live in the country under their own free will.

Im the one who is skeptical about the validity of the media when you compelety accepted the fact that the news are telling us the absolute truth. How do you really know that there were only pockets of resistance? Wouldnt it make sense for the media to tell us that to seem as if everything was under control the whole time and to keep the public calm? Homeless, Healthcare, and Schools have a lot to do with employement. As a matter of fact homelessness and unemployement are directly related. Schools and healthcare are suffering in poverty stricen areas so I have no Idea what you are talking about. Where I live everything seems to be steady and right on track. Once the war is over I am sure that the government will be paying more attention to those 3 items but until then we just have to wait and see. America has been planning this for quiet some time so money was constantly being dumped into the army. Mike, the army is the most important investment any country could ever make, its that simple.
