I had a pair MTX 300 watt loudspeakers and it kept blowing the tweeters so I gave them away. I then bought some Cerwin Vega VE-12F Floor Standing Speaker 300 Watt which are excellent speakers, but during parties the tweeters turn off (protect mode) after a few hours of play. Is the HK too powerful for the tweeters? Is my HK defective? What speakers can I buy that won't do this?
