I installed a new 800 watt amp going to 4 300 watt max speakers and the other day they started making high pitched nosies. When I press on the gas the noise gets higher and louder. However when I turn the gain dials down on my amp the noise goes away but then the speakers are not very loud. I have tried switching RCA wires that doesnt work, ive switched around all the speaker wires and that doesnt work so i am guessing it might be either i blew the speakers up however they dont sound unclear and crackily when i turn them up or its the amp. How can I fix this?
when you check your grounds make sure there is NO paint under the terminal, just take some sandpaper and clean it off. One other thing you might check is did you run your power wire right next your rca cables. If they are cheap cables they can pick up noise from your power wire, always run your power and rca cables on differant sides of your car.
thank so much I moved my RCA wires to the other side of my car and tighten the place where i put the grounds and now theres no more high pitch noise. Thanks so much
4 300W MAX? What is the RMS for the amp and speakers? The max watts doesnt really mean anything because it isnt standardized like RMS.
