    Hi all, new guy here.
I have installed an older Pioneer DEHP6600 head unit and a gexo910xm satellite decoder module in a 1969 Dodge Dart.
I disconnected the existing radio power line (red) and used that for the power lead to the head unit. The "Brain box" has a din type plug that goes to the head unit. The instructions say to run a lead from the yellow connection to a source of constant power but the yellow wire is already connected to both ends of the din plug so there is no way to do that unless I cut into the wire and splice a lead on. Why would I need an additional power source? Doesn't the brain box get power from the head unit thru the cord that connects the two?
Also, the instructions say to attach the orange leas to the interior light circuit. Is this really nessessary?
My problemis, after I hooked it all up -without doing the yellow lead- the head unit will not power up. Grounds are good ??
    Thanks for the help.
