I don't want to lay up the glass in my FJ,its winter ,the wife complaining etc.I was thinking of making a mold out of paper mache for the irregular shapes with a wood top and bottom.what do you guys think ,is it a good idea?
i'm not going to pretend i know what that means......but yeah sounds good.LOL no really.so you'll make the mold then work on it later out side.or inside a garage or something like that.sounds to me like it should work.
I think its OK to make part of your enclosure with glass and part with MDF. I can't say that I've ever worked with a mold before, but it seems to me that it could be a lot of trouble. Maybe??? Can you do this, post a picture of the area that you want to work in, and a good discription of what you want to do in that area. I might be able to come up with a good way to tackle the project (yes, wifes can be annoying) If I can't I'm sure Tech12Volt will jump in with a couple of ideas.
What I want to do is make a mold for my box out of paper mache,then use the mold to make the glass box,I'm fighting for every cubic inch I can get,as I want the boxes(one for each side) to look factory.I will post pictures to morrow
