    Then eventually a 16Ov.2

I like single sub setups cuz I like to see what I can do with only one sub.

After building that ABC box for my brother I am going to build another one for the 12W6 also....then compare the ABC to the TL

Sweet, that's going to kick ass, too bad all you bastards are in the states lol would be nice to see each others setups. I like that design, the rounded corners are nice inside too, i wondered about that before how a perfectly square box inside would affect the sound. The subwoofer is round, you would think you would want to keep that wave round instead of changing it to square lol. Bazooka comes to mind but all the ones i have seen are cheesy.

sell me your JL sub, then you can use the cash towards the ed! lol

oh, forget it lol, it's only 300 watts rms

Sound waves aren't really "round"...they are waves.

The corners make for a smoother turn...I'm not gonna make the corners perfectly round...I'm just gonna make 45 degree boards.

And that 300 watt rms rating...it is way underrated. My last JL 15 W4 took 700 watts easily without even breaking a sweat...and it was rated at 200 watts!!!!

I had another 12W6 but it messed up...you could hear the coil rubbing. So I hooked it up to the wall socket.

Using ohms law it was getting approximately 4000 watts rms. It lasted about a full minute of being plugged into the wall socket. Not continuously but like 20 second bursts...it just would give up

i too like to run with one sub azn.i went to my buddies house for his sons b-day.and his daughters friend was there.(the kid with the 2 pioneer 12's)he showed me his new amp.a hifonics brutis 1600.so were in his car bumping away and it just stopped playing.he said that happens alot.so we go in the trunk.he has 8 guage wire to it. i told him you need at least 4 or bigger.then he says no it fine like this.i say NOOOOO its not it shuts down.duh.

so after that he wants to hear his ipod bass test on my system.guess what. mine hit as hard as his 2 12's. again!
i told him to get a better box for his 12's,but again he says no its fine.i'll just turn the bass up more......you cant help them all.lol

I get a Lot of people like that selling my ebay crap. I just make sure my ass is covered and give them a stern warning !LOL and that's it. The Orion 2100 HCCA Digital Reference is mine! i pulled it off lol, should get it within two weeks. So it's going to be Orion Wood & Sticks amp VS Elemental Designs Nine.1 haha. I still need to get another battery, pac 200 relay and subwoofer and build a custom box. I think that's it.:)

OH, that's not a digital reference lol, i thought it looked different than the first one. This is a 2100 HCCA Competition Amplifier. Hmmm, anyone know the difference between the two?

Is all of this True? Should i change the fuses to 40 amp like it says?

    http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?TID=49045

There was not much of a difference if any between the two, the change in the labeling was to keep it current with the other HCCA amps. The Digital Reference is the older version, the Competiton Amplifier model received the name change as a result of the 225 and 250 HCCA amps getting internal crossovers . This amp was designed to run 1ohm stereo / 2 ohm mono minimum. They are great amps, but make sure to feed them the power they need, otherwise they won't last long. The other thing to check is that the internal fuses have been changed from 30A to 40A. The amp will blow the 30A fuses before reaching it's full potential. Normally, you shouldn't replace a fuse with larger rated fuse, but in this instance, this advice came from Orion, who put the smaller fuses in there to protect the amps from abuse.

    Mine pwns yours...haha jk

Don't worry about changing those fuses...I'd call up Orion and ask them....or just ask Viking.

I'm sure your amp is waaayyyy underrated....but mine is pretty underrated also...Nine.1's have been tested to put out 1600 watts rms or more

Sweet! Should i be looking for a sub that's 1500 watts rms or 2000 watts rms might be better?

Any bets on how many times this amp can go into protect from overheating before it dies lol. It has cut out at least 35 times now, lol poor amp. Running it at 2 ohms which it's rated for. Esa 100 watt amp 2 ohm stable.
