Ok, just about every day this past week I've gotten blank emails that my Norton anti virus warns me about and quarantines, then today I got an e-mail from someone that said " Dude, I think you have a virus on your computer, I recieved a blank e-mail, and I have no clue from who this message is even from." So could I have a virus in my outlook express? What should I do? Have any of you experienced this?
Just don't use outlook. simple as that. I can't stand outlook. It's the most awful software ever- and its not MS's fault
MS has a patch for a worm virus going around. I wish I had the address still, but I don't. It was said the virus attacked outlook if you were using 5.0, 5.5, and 6.0 explorer version. It went through address books (and spred itself through the poor souls in your book) and attatched itself on random folders throughout the system. The results vary as it selects it's own path. I suggest trying any MS pages that may have the repair and protect patches available.
my friends mac had a virus and when you tried to open a program it popped up with an AOL error message that said something to the effect of "I hope you burn in hell in eternal agony" it was funny
Sorry for being snappy, but this has my really ticked off, I feel helpless!! I get so frustrated with computers, I am such a hands on Fix It type of guy, but with computers I am so helpless with stuff that I can't even begin to understand.
Try this. It is for road runner, but it may help. http://www.triadtwcable.com/AroundTown/tools/index.html#security
It was probably just some jackoff fucking around...got your e-mail in one way or another...i doubt you're infected.. update your virus software from the manufactures website and run a scan...you should be fine
Top toolbar in explorer, click help. In the dropdown menu click about Internet explorer, it will be on the page that opens then.
I am infected, I just read the list of emails that carry the "worm" and I have recieved these. HOW CAN I TELL WHAT VERSION OF INTERNET EXPLORER I HAVE?!!
LoL hackers sure are annoying little fuckers, arn't they?? Go to help in the IE toolbar, and then click "About Internet Explorer" it should list the version in there Why do you care what version you have anyway??
Thanks, but I didn't find any patches that I could download for my 6.0 version, So I am still trying to figure things out.
