    Anyone else ever get these?

The first time I started a series of them, I guess it was about the third one, it hurt so bad I puked. When I say I puked, I mean projectile vomiting. I puked so hard I broke blood vessels in both eyes, and my stomach muscles were sore for a couple days.

The pain always starts at the back of my jaw, and climbs to my inner ear. It feels like someone is putting a vice on my brain. It is always the same side, always the same pain. Everytime I get one, my left eye swells shut. They take less than 5 minutes to go from a twinge to a full blown skullcrusher. They hurt so bad I usually writhe around in bed moaning for the duration (and believe me, I have no issue with pain tolerance at all). I have taken everything they can perscribe me for the pain, to no avail.

They occur daily for about a month, at almost the exact same time every day (all my sets of these have all been from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM starts, untill this set). I had them for a month the first time, then they just quit. 1 year later I had them again for a month, then they just quit. 2 years after that they started again, then they just quit. Now, after 3 years they are starting again. Unfortunately I am waking up at 1:00 AM :( . As usual, I get one, then nothing for a few days, then I get one, then a couple days, then I get one, then daily.

I have been checked for everything that may cause this. CAT scans (brain tumor), Skull X-Rays (sinus infections, deformaties or growths), ENTs (ear issues, I have had about 50 ear operations in my life), Orthodontists (for Jaw alignment issues), dentists (for abscess), I mean you name it.

I was just wondering what anyone who suffers these may have found to help. My doctor heard of Steroid therapy working and I am just beginning it tonight. Prednezone, 6 pills tonight and 5 pills a day for the next 12 days. We are using a combination of Percoset, T3 (Tylenol with Codein), and Immatrex to controll the pain (flying high again!!!) untill the therapy begins to take effect.

I'm just hoping someone may know about these things and may have some way to stop the pain.

Could this be a result of abuse of drugs?

    Sounds terrible btw....
