Choose your favorite car audio myth!

...and we'll start some threads, starting with the winner first. B)

In case you haven't been in tune:
I have another thread where we have been collecting car audio myths....

I've posted the "top ten" to pick from here.

Myths usually have some footing in reality - at least somewhere back in time - but along the way, like "the telephone game" that kids play, the message either got twisted, or overgeneralized, or actually became misleading.
But you know what - some people live by these. :huh:

We collected these threads so that we could discuss each myth in detail over the next weeks and months (god knows we've got enough of them to keep us busy for at least that long! ).

I look forward to stirring a little controversy, as we separate the fact from fiction, realities from assumptions.
