I have a 1990 Volvo with 61/2 inch speakers in the doors. A guy told me that he prefers Pioneer over Kenwood because Pioneer speakers don't have metal tweeters that tend to produce raspy sound. I don't want to spend more than $100 a pair. What do you think?

Hm, if you're looking in that price range... Check out the JL VR series. I think they'll be a bit more than $100, but they'll probably outperform anything made by Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, etc....

I'm gonna agree with Chris. JL VRs and the XR coaxials (both should be right at $100 or so) will absolutely bury the Pioneers and Kenwoods. IMHO, both the entry level Pio's and Kennys are quite bright.

I agree with you frequently, unless you start off a thread disagreeing with me... Oh wait, I guess you are right, you never start off a tread agreeing with me :p

    Exactly :p

There have been a few occasions, they're rare though :).
