Okay guys, i was sitting in class last week and i had an idea..... screw using a headunit in my car.... i thought i would hook up my desktop with all my music on it by using a converter...(which i already have) and from the the line out from the comp run that to my amp (which i dont have yet due to the fact my buddy fried mine). i think it would all work.... my question is would my computer and my 15inch monitor take a sh** ton of power from my battery and would it be bad for my alternator? and would i have enough power to hook up the 5000 watt boss amp i want to get in the summer? and my last question is would the computer have a strong enough i guess you would say signal to to my amp to serve as a headunit.....( i dont really know how to word dat lol ) i would appreciate your guys imput before i go and fry my electrical system in my car lol thanx

I wonder if you would be better off building a computer for the car.
