Need some help, there is a little confusion I am having, the balt is registered in oregon and I don't want to change the plates on it. Also I want to get a motorcycle liscence and I don't want to have to fly home and take it right when I walk off the plane as that is the only availble time to do it. So, two questions, do I have to get the balt registered in oregon to get a california liscence, and second part (this is where it gets hazy) Do I have to be a resident of california to do the CHP course and get endorsed, because the list on the CHP class website says that they can do it for out of state but you still have to take the knowledge test... but the DMV says nothing about that.
Call the DMV and ask them, im pretty sure you can take the driving test as long as the vehicle is registered and insured. I took mine in my Mustang that at the time was registered in Nevada but that was a while back. Cant help you on the motorcycle. Are you going to be living in Oregon ar California??
