What is with Adire and CAf I said one thing about Daytons being a good substitute for the shiva and the damn adire dealers come out of the wood work attacking me and daytopn audio and saying how much of a good guy dan is :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:
I noticed the same thing. Whenever someone asks a question on CAF about any sub, somebody tries to sell them an Adire product instead. I'm not saying that Adire is not good, but that is :bs: ! Same thing happened to me when I tried to ask some questions about CV strokers.
the said part is that is hass been the flavor of the month for serveral months HSL was big for a few day but them the brahma came along and stirred it up, but it has been relaesased and I have not heard much about it other than on CAF, I personally donmt think it is that hott of a driver
Adire has a good product at a great price, and a helpful rep on the forums,which helps PR and makes people want to promote the products! On the other hand, look at Audiomobile... Another good product at a good price.. but the rep doesn't know what "politically correct" means, or what "public relations" means, and generally comes off like a dickhead... So, people don't want to recommend that anymore... Hollywood doesn't have any reps, and it's not a real popular product.. Another good product at a good price... but no forum presence, no big names using it, no putting the T/S and DUMAX numbers "to the test", discussions like that, so that's why the HSL is sort of "just another sub" on these forums, don't you think?
I Agree with that geo, but I have a personal issue with adire so I dont recommend them (nor do I bash their products) I just dont mention them but now I am being verbally attakc for "spamming" and such for NOT recommending adire, I am Tried of the whole "if you dont like adire leave" mentalty that exists there. Well.. I am trying to read this objectively.. And I think both parties here were wrong in some way.. You posted this: and that's the only point I would have had fault with.. I know that Adire isn't made by Eminance... I don't know about Dayton at all.. but from what I know about where Adire is built (and beleive it or not, I have had several Email discussions with the owner of the build shop, but I don't know the actual name!), I would be very surprised if Dayton was manufactured there as well - basing that on my beleif that Dayton has been around longer, that's all... But Derek's comments were out of line too.. And I don't think that anyone had any sort of "Adire or die" mentality.. yes LOTS of people recommended them, but lots of those people were the "I heard they were good on this forum so I will recommend them now too" sort of people, if you know what I mean... (man, you have to read the forums with your "filter goggles" on, right? ) There, I tried to post a fair comment there...
Hi all, Perhaps I can clarify things a bit... 1. Dayton Audio is the house-brand of Parts Express. Many of those drivers are manufactured at Eminence; others at Gefco. There is no "Dayton Audio" factory; rather, they (like us) use build houses to make their drivers for them. 2. Shivas and Tempests are both made at Eminence; we use different build houses depending upon which build house can offer us the best mix of in-stock parts, quality, and pricing. 3. I know you have a personal problem with us Michael, because we wouldn't extend a dealership to you. However, I would hope that you would be professional enough so that our decision to not authorize you wouldn't color your discussions of drivers. 4. Shivas and Tempests are pretty well proven in the car audio market. They are not the best answer all the time; many times they are. They are very similar to the JL W3 and CompVR drivers in terms of performance, but are available for a greatly reduced price. You do lose some options and flexibility (impedance options, dealer coverage, etc.) and that often means other drivers are a better choice. Anyway, wanted to add a few things.
Dan my personal Problems with you have nothing to do with the fact you would not authorize me to sell you drivers. I get turned down in that respect ALL the time from Places like Kicker. If you think that is my probelm IT IS NOT My Problem as to do with the way you handled you self in the praivte communications we had and the way you descirbed my business. But I feel this need to be handlied in private as it was started I have nothing againt your products just your company, I DONT bash your products but I do offer alterantive to them, you DO have a good product but I did not like your comments about my business considering you know nothing about me or how I do thngs, if you would like the email me my address is admin@caraudiotalk.com and I still have a print out in my files of your comment should you not remember,

i cant believe how bad CAF is..... where is lee??? has he even EVER been there???? and mike i saw the otehr day you said nothing about adire or dayton or anything else. you just offered advice and someone jumped all over you. CAF is:gay:
