USACi reports that Cadence has voluntarily re-rated their Z7000 amplifier. After testing the Z7000 using USACI guidelines the manufacturer voluntarily re rated the amplifier to 300 watts rms. The amplifiers previous rating was done by different specifications than those used by USACI.

"I would like to thank Cadence for their cooperation in helping to keep the competition field level for all competitors," states USACi president Ralph Randall. "I sincerely hope that other manufacturers will make efforts to be sure their products are rated within the specifications issued by USACI as well."

The new rating for the Cadence Z7000 amplifier will take effect as of 08/27/2002 and will be applied at all USACI events.

I hope you understand that it is the amp rating that is changing not the output power
