only way i would think about doing it is if i was close to the person and could look at the car and test drive and all that good shit
Ebay motors is actually a very good place to buy cars if and only if you are able to travel to the persons location and test the car. The cars sell for much cheaper than in the newspapers so you will always win if you get the car inspected and test drive it. And OEJ, :fucku: Can you go one post w/o ricer references? :grenade: OEJ'S CAR :rocket: :hitit:
well, GOOD auctions for cars are put up quite often by professionals, car dealers, who put up VERY thorough auctions.... Be honest with yourself, how thoroughly are you going to check out a car, if you are buying one, in person? I think it's very fair to say that with these GOOD auctions, there is actually often more detail listed, pictured, and/or described about the car than you would actually be capable of (or remember to) check out in person... So in those respects, it's not a stretch to say that you might review cars up for bid on Ebay where you end up knowing MORE about the car than you would have if you were just shopping the classifieds, and going around checking out cars... I would definitely consider buying a car from Ebay... provided it was a good, complete listing... Remember, what is stated must be true or the auction is void, and you have documented proof of what is said... Something that you DON'T have if you are dealing with used car buying in a face-to-face traditional format... There are advantages, and disadvantages... Don't forget about the advantages!
I have a customer who is a dealer. He has me check outt cars for him he is planning on selling. If it fails inspection he sells it online. I suggest staying away from e-bag.
Ebay Motors Feedback System a Farce - Pro Auto Group Scam I bought a car from Pro Auto Group, a Fort Worth-based dealership, through Ebay Motors. The car was “certified” to be free of mechanical defect. Within HOURS of leaving the dealership with the car, the clutch/transmission failed and the car had to be towed to a repair shop. In short, despite attempts at mediation and direct negotiations, Pro Auto Group refused to do a thing to repair the car or take it back for a refund. Their position was that the damage was due to “driver abuse” despite the fact that I had the car for less than 6 hours and the needed repairs were due, clearly, to long term, pre-existing damage. The situation is compounded by the fact that Pro Auto Group has been committing this fraud against dozens of unsuspecting buyers under the cover of “100% Positive Feedback” on Ebay Motors. A sham based partially on backend payoffs and coercion resulting in “mutually withdrawn” negative feedback. I even found one individual who bought a “certified” vehicle that was claimed to have never have been in a wreck - and he subsequently found it had been in a head on collision. He also found that the service records provided for the vehicle were falsified! Another lady I talked to bought a car from Pro Auto Group with fraudulent odometer mileage. In my case, the dealer posted negative feedback referring to me as “a terrorist” and claiming that my 15 year old daughter had burned out the clutch – a car that I had had for less than 6 hours! It was almost laughable if it hadn’t been such a disturbing fabrication! Even more disturbing is that Ebay Motors not only failed to act, they were directly complicate in this ongoing farce. In less than 24 hours after I posted negative feedback, Pro Auto Group was able to get Ebay to suspend my account and have my feedback deleted! There was no hearing. No arbitration process. No inquiry whatsoever. Ebay arbitrarily and summarily backed Pro Auto Group because of their leverage as a power seller.
