I have had this snake for a week and today i tried to feed him but he wont eat the mouse, he is driving me crazy, what should i do, it is a live mouse, anyone know any tricks
He's a little baby? My sister had one of them, and he grew to be about 4 feet long, and probably 4 or 5 inches wide in his middle.. He was a nice snake too.. he'd give the best back massages if you placed him around your neck, then he'd swing around and lick your nose.. that's just how they smell though. I hope he isn't sick.. I think snakes eat when they are hungry though.. I bet it's as simple as he's just fine right now... And it's been a long time since we had that snake, but I thought he only got fed every week or so anyways.. So it's probably not even abnormal.. They digest that food for a long time, and are fine on that for quite a while until next feeding! How long has it been since he last ate?
Also, is the mouse too big for him? If he's a growing snake, he might not be sucking down the big stuff yet.. He looks pretty small, if he is growing, I would actually anticipate he would have a big appetite.. Also, maybe his aquarium is too small, or the wrong temperature? Do you have a heat light?
i have a heat light, the mouse seems small enough, he is about 3 feet long, he aint exactly small but not big yet, he is very active todya but wasnt to intrested in the mouse, i think he is a year old, hes cool though
