Ball python

    I have had this snake for a week and today i tried to feed him but he wont eat the mouse, he is driving me crazy, what should i do, it is a live mouse, anyone know any tricks

    He's a little baby?

    My sister had one of them, and he grew to be about 4 feet long, and probably 4 or 5 inches wide in his middle..

    He was a nice snake too.. he'd give the best back massages if you placed him around your neck, then he'd swing around and lick your nose.. that's just how they smell though.

    I hope he isn't sick..
    I think snakes eat when they are hungry though.. I bet it's as simple as he's just fine right now...

    And it's been a long time since we had that snake, but I thought he only got fed every week or so anyways..
    So it's probably not even abnormal..
    They digest that food for a long time, and are fine on that for quite a while until next feeding!

    How long has it been since he last ate?

    Also, is the mouse too big for him?
    If he's a growing snake, he might not be sucking down the big stuff yet..
    He looks pretty small, if he is growing, I would actually anticipate he would have a big appetite..

    Also, maybe his aquarium is too small, or the wrong temperature?
    Do you have a heat light?

    Remove the mouse from the cage and put your head in:D

    i have a heat light, the mouse seems small enough, he is about 3 feet long, he aint exactly small but not big yet, he is very active todya but wasnt to intrested in the mouse, i think he is a year old, hes cool though
