What would be the be all nessesary meters and gauges that an audio junky needs? I am thinking of putting in a volt meter and amp current meter. What else is there?
I would suggest a volt meter, digital or analog. You really dont need an amp meter. The batteries voltage will tell you what you need to know....Could also maybe install a temp meter for your amps. Aint to hard really. Install a thermistor in the amp in a proper locale, and there ya go!!!
Um...the ameter would need to be inline with your power wire...you don't think that 18 gauge wire that comes with the gauge placed inline with the power wire won't affect anything do you...like CATCH ON FIRE!!!
An inductive pick up ammeter would be pretty tits..... but i would not want it on the amp power wire, that SOB would be going nuts, would be best to put the pick up coil on the alternators output wire.....
