Hey all, im thinkin of gettin a set of JBL GTO 505ce comps, they are £75.
Im new to car audio, so...is that any good?!? are they good speakers? if not, what could i get that are better but for the same price!?
Also, What about 6x9s, I can get jbl gto935 speakers for £45 which i fink is good, am i right? are these the best speakers in this price range?
And finally, what about JBL subs? i can get 2 GT312 12" subs for £150 should i go for them or not?
Any opinions will be good, it all comes to £270 so can anyone advise a better setup for the same amount? (amps not included!) Cheers, James

I have some JBLGT122Ds and am fairly impressed with their SQ. They are BIG box subs though. The GTIs are nice, but pricey. I wish I could comment or reccomend based on your price, but we damn Yanks seem to have a hard time with your currency    . Give a rough estimate in US dollars and I'm sure we can help you out.

Haha.. Sandt.. rough estimate? Double it!
He's talking about a comp set for about $150...
And these things seem to cost more in Europe, so it's sort of like a $100 or so set here...
Which sounds like a damn good price to me!

If you can get them inexpensively, the GTi comp set is breathtaking...
The GTO is a lower model, their high-volume bread-and-butter mainstream product.

I unfortunately haven't heard the GTO's, but JBL in general makes some great product, consistently high quality, and for the price I don't think you can go wrong here.
    Good luck!
