180 amp alt is nowhere near big enough for 4000-5000 watts.

You should get atleast a 250 amp alternator or higher. You spend so much money on the subs and amp but you should not skimp on the power supply.

Even with a 250 amp alternator you will probably need two extra group 31 batteries.

i would add atleast 2 kinetik or powermaster to be on the safeside since youll be running it daily you need large reserve capacity since it ill be 5kwrms

Nice system! I'm jealous lol. A high power alternator or two is more important than the batteries. I would do that first then see.

it took some time to work every thing out.i found this one guy on a board to make me a custom box for the 2 btl's.....
its got black carpet on the sides and on the back of the box.
the top of the box is panted shinny black with a big shinny white fi logo and the front of the box and slot port is shinny black
it should look pretty cool. i just told him what i wanted it to look like!!
it only cost me $200 and $66 to ship.. awesome guy, knows every thing there is to know about making sub boxes. he has been doing it for 18 years. il post some pics of the box when i get it. It should be here Monday.

he would burp it then keep the car running to charge it for later.

he would let it idle for 10-15 mins then walk around.

he was judged at least 4 times that day plus port wars.wich he won with a 166.6 or something.in only 1 port.at 5000 watts.

you are also aloud to have your car running while being judged

Enclosure is a HUGE factor is how much power it can handle...yeah the BTL can handle 3000 watts but not just in any enclosure.
