1200 watts peak 2 channel amplifier

    I'm looking at a second amp for my infinity 6x9s, if something is 1200 watts max (peak) what would that be RMS

    um...those speakers will handle 1200 watts for about .1 seconds.

    what is the rated rms power handling...most speakers at overrated on the "peak power" stat...means nothing

    But I'd go for around 50-80 watts per speaker would be a safe bet

    ok, i guess it's a bit much lol, they are cheap amps so i was thinking they are only maybe 200 - 300 watts rms.

    My infinitys are 100 watts rms 300 watts peak each

    ya, i've been watching some, I might as well get another orion, a nice red one so it matches lol.

    In the last couple months i've had to change my waterpump, transmission lines, cam sensor and shaft, 2 rear struts complete, alternator, front wheel bearing hub assembly, anything else....lol what the hell. oh ya the passenger door window motor is weak so doesn't always close or open and now the engine is shaking a lot like i have a broken plug wire or something. So the ED sub still sits in his home lol, not burning out now that i want it too of course.

    I've pretty well burned every sub i ever owned..Well over 20

    I got an alpine 4 channel amp thats about 60watts rms per channel and I got a JVC 4 channel amp thats like 65RMS per channel.


    60 bucks shipped each.

    Thanks, i'm going to hold out for another orion. I do have another 2-channel amp i forgot about, maybe i'll hook it up tomorrow until i get another orion.

    you guys want to blow out those 6x9's huh? thats called a cheater amp for a reason. my 275sx is ridiculously powerful

    lol, like i care about burning 6x9s. They are a dime a dozen. What would you recommend jeff, they are infinity reference 100 watts rms each. I want orion. Cobalt? or something..

    any of the sx series.222/250/275.

    all are awsome.i knew this jackoff i used to work with. he had 2 18's running off of a 22 sx. was insane!.
