    Blaupunkt Unveils V-Line Car Stereos

June 25, 2003 -- Broadview, Ill. - Blaupunkt has introduced two new models in its value-oriented V-Line of car stereos, the Phoenix MP33 CD/MP3 receiver, and the Sacramento CD33 CD receiver. Each model delivers 50 watts of power into each of four channels, and features aggressive styling with flip-down detachable faceplate, blue and red backlit buttons, and a three-color red/white/blue panel display.
The Blaupunkt Phoenix MP33 not only plays conventional CDs, it is also fully compatible with CD-R/RW discs encoded with MP3 files. The faceplate ID3 tag display and included credit-card remote control make it simple to locate and select from as much as 10 hours of music on a single CD.

The Sacramento CD33 features Blaupunkt's CD transport, and can be used in conjunction with a Blaupunkt CD changer to control up to 10 discs worth of music. With the optional credit card remote, control of all major functions can performed from anywhere in the cockpit.

Like all Blaupunkt radios, both models feature high-sensitivity tuners, including 18 FM and 12 AM presets. The Phoenix MP33 and Sacramento CD33 are currently available at suggested retail price of $349 and $259, respectively.
