Power Acoustik SP4X-600 Protection Light?

    Hey everyone, I have a Power Acoustik SP4X-600 car amplifier and for some reason the protection light is on. I know it's not the ground because I secured it to a good ground perfectly. So is there any other reason why the light could be on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

    Does the protection light come on immediately when you turn on the system? If not it could be overheating depending on if it has enough ventilation. What speakers do you have hooked up to it and how did you hook them up? If you have an incorrect ohm load to the amp that could throw it into protection.
