I had a nice ass head unit stolen from me not too long ago so my plan was to put a new one in the glove box all hidden so nobody would bother breaking in again.

My question is would a wireless remote work well with the head unit out of sight? I don't know if most remotes work on frequency wise? If so any suggestions? I want to stick with Alpine but I'm not trying to spend a lot again.

    thanks yall

I don't think so... when I lay down in the back of my jeep, I have to point my remote at my stereo in order to make it work. Pretty sure it works on line of sight.

Most of the time it is line of sight. An easy test for this would be to just hold up a note card in front of the remote and see if it works.

damn thats what I was thinking I just don't have anything to try it with in front of me. Well thanks for the info. guess I'll just have to go to a store and try it out.
