Hi, im new to making a sub box. I checked out a tutorial on youtube and I have read the instructions on crutchfield as well. I have two 12" alpine type r subs. The manual says that the dimensions should be 13x13x12.5. I need to know if this is just for one sub or for both. I also have used this website http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm to help with the sides. But i need to know the dimensions for two subs sealed. I measured my trunk and the height can be no more than 15", width no more than 38", and i dont want a depth of anything bigger than 15". Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Sorry for the long post.

The dimensions are for one sub, you need to double it for two subs

what do u mean by doubling the dimensions. should i double the width only? I want to make the box for two type r's. I only know the dimensions for one. It would be helpful if u could enlighten me a little more.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. If what you posted was the ouside dimensions then your new dimensions should be 26 wide by 13 tall by 12.5 deep.

Have you considered a ported box? According to your first post you have more room in your vehicle.

You could build a box with the outside dimensions 36-inches wide by 13-1/2-inches tall by 14-inches deep. The port would be 12-inches tall by 2-inches wide. It will need to be 11-inches long. For a ported box follow these directions
