I'm looking to upgrade my car's audio components starting with the head unit and eventually working back to a subwoofer. I'm looking for a unit that is hd out of the box, has bluetooth and the likes. The link below is the unit I'm currently looking at, but would like to look at a few more before making a final decision. Also is it necessary to replace the wiring harness to produce the best possible sound from the radio? I have a 2001 dodge neon. http://www.amazon.com/Dual-XHD7714-player-Built-Tagging/dp/B001OK24V8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
if you're wantin cheap look at Clarion, Sony, and Pioneer makes some pretty decent cheap HU.. But if you're wantin to go big Pedro's suggestions are the best..
Please don't buy Clarion....they are sooooo terrible. Pioneer is priced reasonable and they have very good features as well as function which makes them a winner to me.
The only problem with Clarion that I ever found is that they don't have an EQ at all.. But if that isn't a problem for someone looking to buy, Clarion doesn't make the worst HU..
I digress. I had 2 that had the internal amp give out very quick, one was the replacement of the other and they had been "professionally" installed.
Well maybe it's because I wasn't usin it for a system.. I jus had stock car speakers hooked up to it... But it ran fine for about 8 months.. I wrecked tha car it was in but it perfomed very well for the time I had it..
