Greetings: I am looking to buy something that will simply use USB, Zune MP3 and CD- NO Blue tooth. After a fair amount of research with customer reviews, I went to Best Buy and tried an Alpine and Kenwood in the $140 range and to Fry's to try a Pioneer and Sony. What a complicated nightmare to get these things to play, select and find tunes! One unit stopped the music when scrolling for another selection. The new pioneer was the simplest to forward in selection by folder or by played tune with seperate buttons for each command off the USB,however it did not recognize my Zune. Can anyone recommend a simple to use quality unit? My USB has an alpha list but all the units sampled play by folder. I NEVER use my system by folder. I would like an EQ if possible. I guess with my lousy eyesight I have to pick function over actually seeing the readout. In this project I really don't want to become an expert. WW
For me I chose an Alpine iDA X303, searches are easy and the display is large. The music continues to play while I'm doing a seach. The only down side (not a problem for me) is no CD player. I figure that most Alpines would have the same ability as my iDA X303
The iDA X303 is a little more than you want to spend and it has NO CD player. But all the music I own is on my MP3 player. But check out other Alpines, I would assume that their ability to search and handle USB devices to be the same or similar. Good luck
