i was wondering if you guys could help me build a new system. the last system i had was 2 kicker L7s with is own box and hifonics 2006d amp. now i am looking at round subs and i dont think i want the hifonics 2010d amp because it has no fuses and i ended up starting the one i got on fire on fire. i was thinking maybe 2 kicker cvx's or maybe one. im looking at the same wattage as the L7s i had a 2000 watt rms amp running to them. so maybe even just one sub the same watts. just something just as loud or ever louder

with the stuff you just picked, you are definately going to need an HO alternator and some batteries. You went with Kicker before, right? why not try a different brand now? Take a look at elemental designs or better yet, take a look at sundown audio for amps, for the subs, FI or SSA would be some great choices...
Think I am going to pick the Kicker SoloX S18X0 for my sub. What would be better... the dual 1, 2, or 4 ohm version? Whats the difference? Would 2 Kicker ZX2500.1s be good enough for the amp?
im sure it will handle it, but what are your plans to beef up the elecrical in the car. your deff gonna need some batts. either a bunch of lil ones or a few big ones. and a whole mess of BIG wires. ive said this before. i have a teammate/friend with a neon with 4 IA 20.1's wired up to 5 or 6 extra batts and a stock alt. it all still works good. BUT!!! he does put it on a charger before shows and he doesnt drive it a lot.
Iam a big kicker fan. but iam with Cullen here on subs, if you have a budget for it, Fi makes some amazing subs... like... really amazing, costume machined amazing...
if you are getting 2 kicker 2500.1... just wire one amp to each coil... the amp pos and neg to a positive and negative on the sub. its pretty easy... someone will make you a diagram.
just wondering but how would i hook up the two bass knobs to one? so i dont have to have to switch two...one at a time?
