no pressure azn... what were you thinking of? should it be a 2 chamber box (one for each sub?) Port middle? side?

cccullen what is the usuable frequency response you want??

how low do you want it to go before beginning to roll off? What are you goign to be lowpassing the sub at?

Alright, now that iam going to be getting into a place with some garage space i canstart putting my boxes together. Azn, how do you get the res freq of an enclosed box? i need to make a sealed box for my 12's and 10. iam going to tune the ported box on the kickers to about 30, the sealed 12s to about 40-45 n the sealed box for the ten to about 60. iam doing an install on the 11th too, ill have photos up afterwards.

I have no idea what you all mean by a roll off. I had my lowpass really low before but I was thinking of tuning a bit higher this time. What do you suggest?

roll off is when a specific frequency reaches -3db from the original 0db.

ok, i guess i'm really retarded... lol... How do you know when that happens? this is where I really get lost.

Its ok i'll make the call for you. Usually enclosures begin rolling off around 40Hz but the cabin gain makes up for that.

thanks! so the tuning will be 40hz? cuz my previous 2 boxes were about 35hz and I want to try something different this time.

tuning is undecided. What do you want that is different from your current enclosure?

I'm thinking bigger.. I really don't know. I know that the box that that electro designed was a lot louder than my first one. I got better lows with the second box but I was thinking that the new box should have individual chambers and it's own port. what do you think?

That can be arranged...its whatever you want it to look like

I'd probably would say to make 2 chambers and 2 separate ports. You could have 1 on either side or both in the middle. whichever is easier to design.

As for the subs, i guess i want them facing rear like i had them before. where you'll put the ports is all up to you...

    thanks again azn.

alright. I got a build for 4 10"ers, measurements are 43w x 15h x 12d. about 1.5cuft per driver, think they should run all in the box, or separate divisions? dependsing on the drivefrs that will be selected, think tuned to about 38-45. what chu guys got? (in the process of moving so ill post up numbers and designs when I have a minute.)
