i dont know, but they sell a solid product, and tell you when am item is refurb/new unlike some sites
Sonic Yahh You guys do not seem to realize that Sonic, is selling everything in direct violation of dealer contracts, and sells equipment like its garbage.. Once all the manufacturers have shut everyone off because of idiots like this, you can call Sonic, and Ebay, and thank them for the retail prices you will then pay.. Do you read the policies pages?? http://sonicelectronix.com/warranty_policy.php What is not covered.. Damage due to improper installation. Subsequent damage to other components. Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessive heat, chemical cleaners, and/or UV radiation. Damage through negligence, misuse, accident or abuse. Repeated returns for the same damage may be considered abuse. Burnt voice coils (blackened, no continuity, melted adhesives, coil separated from the former). Punctured or damaged surrounds. Broken speaker terminals. Bent, chipped or broken frames. Ripped spiders or damaged back plates. Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of product. Speakers damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion. Electronics damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion. Items previously repaired or modified by any unauthorized repair facility. Return shipping on defective or non-defective items. Products with tampered or missing Sonic Electronix labels or specific manufacturer serial numbers, tags or labels. Products returned without a Return Authorization (RMA) number. Freight Damage (goods damaged due to shipping must be reported within 7 days of delivery) The cost of shipping product to Sonic Electronix. The cost of shipping product from Sonic Electronix upon completion of repair or replacement. Service performed by anyone other than Sonic Electronix. Speakers damaged from amplifier clipping and distortion.. Maybe they should not sell a bunch of junk Visonik expecting them to not "clip" or "distort" Same with Electronics?? So If an amplifier clips or distorts and blows up it is not warrantied?? Off site repairs take 6-8 weeks?? The manufacturer should be doing the repairs not some Sears repair center. There is once in a lifetime the manufacturer takes more than 2 weeks for a repair/replacement.. YOU are responsible on all shipping for warranty service.. LCD screens, there has to be 8 dead pixels to return it for a warranty??? What the heck?? So if you get a new screen and there are 7 dead pixels, it is all yours.. Jeez.. ALL manufactuers . if you are a legit AUTHORIZED dealer, will offer at least 1 year warranties some as much as 10. The reason the policies of sonic and other sites are so lengthly is that they are not Authorized for ANYTHING and their gray market serial number removing dealer in downtown Los Angeles gives them what I call the finger warranty so they just pass it on.. Make the warranties so extensive, and so impossible that you cannot get a warranty on it. And heck if you are making $20 on a 90# Orion HCCA15, you have to provide the finger warranty or you will end up losing money.. Their idea is this, throw it at you with no design intervention, and hope you know what you are doing with it.. The policies page is 20 screens long.. Bottom line, it is all unauthorized/sideways sold equipment with no REAL warranties.. Sonic is a joke, and as soon as you all realize it the industry will be a better place.. With jokers selling $1500 amplifiers like they are a set of sunglasses, no wonder all of the manufacturers are going after internet sellers.. And this "Sonic Electronix labels" . Does Sonic have their own gear? or is that the label they use to cover the spot where the serial number got taken off?? As for the burnt voice coils policy.. Generally an OPEN coil is a manufacturers defect, not a "burnt coil", Coil separated from the former??? I think they mean windings separated from the former, and that very well may be warrantyable as a manufacturer defect. The "coil" refers to the copper windings on the former but why would I expect them to know that.. I think it is more like just write everything down that can happen and don't warranty any of it.. "damage caused by UV radiation"?? OMG.. No comment... Last line after the NO WARRANTY section "Additionally, there are no guarantees against these items being 'DOA' (Dead on Arrival)." Cmon ... Give me a break.. It is jokers like this that the manufacturers hate, and the ones that we all can thank when we are all paying full retail again...
Wow, I really didn't know or even bothered to read any of that. I do however have to defend them about clipping distortion damage. Most kids don't even know what clipping is and they push their gear to hard. It doesn't matter what brand it is, there is always a limit. Continuous clipping and distortion is caused by the user and is NOT the fault of the product. I really don't think that it should be covered in a warranty. The company or seller should never be responsible for the retard acts of the buyer. That's just my opinion.
my brother has bought subs and amps from there a bunch of times... one time he blew a sub and they let us take it to their office in valencia for an exchange they didnt even look at it and gave us a chance to get a new one but it was discountinued so they gave us credit to get something new on the spot. great place to shop from.
I actually haven't heard any horror stories about sonic. Everybody says they are great to deal with. jayz85, again just confirmed that they deal with customers very well.
