Well, i finally finished the CRV. got it all in yesterday. I really wanted to put the amps under the 2nd row seating but like the retard that I am, i never checked to see if it would fit til the moment I did the install..

Guess what.... It wouldn't fit. I didn't have the space for it so i just put the amps under the driver and passenger seats.

I have a few pics of what the sub looks like installed, it looks very clean. If the 3rd row is folded down the sub will be centered, right under the seat. It sounds pretty good too. It is a sealed enclosure (MDF top and filberglass bottom), i still have to do a little tuning though with the sub, i'll finish it up tonight.

Tell me what you think... I didn't take pics of the amps under the seats cuz you can't really see them anyway. I was a pretty clean wiring job though.

Looks nice man. You may want to consider putting a grill on it unless you dont use that back area for anything. I would just be worried something might slide on it or drop on it or something.

grill is going on as soon as I find a decent one. for now, I just put the 3rd row down to protect it.

looks a lot better than my sub install. I still need to get the box installed "correctly" but just have not had the time. It still sounds good though as is I just rather have it set up a little different so it looked better. The same goes with the amps. Right now they are installed on the floor under the jump seats but I want to get them installed behind the jump seats eventually which would be inside the actual sidewall of the truck.

lol. my wife gave me a big challenge on that one. she didn't want a box in her car so that's how i figured that one out. I wanted he to have a sub, it not real loud cuz she doesn't like it that way. It's more of a SQ set up.

That's a very good idea. I can get a router and make the sub flush with the top of the box (it's an MDF top) and put the mesh and carpet over it over it. real stealthy.

Great idea!!! thanks. I'll do that over the weekend.

your welcome. use heavy enough mesh to support some wieght.

the inner frame is for better support so the mesh wont dip in the center.

I'd just make a whole false floor cover so there isn't just a small square in the middle of the floor.

Use breathable carpet or some fleece and it should look good.

I was fooling around with the amps last night. I really don't like where i put them (under the driver and passenger seats). It looks like crap!

I'm going to rip it apart again this weekend and put the amps in the rear near the sub. I'll just have some kind of cover made for the amps to make it look better.

The thought of keeping the amps in a place where they can be kicked really doesn't make me sleep well at night. lol. I'm thinking (if i have the room) put the amps all the way towards the rear. I think the RCA's are long enough to do that. The only other changes i'll have to make (for wires) is buy about 10 ft. more of 4ga wires to reach the amps in the back.

I think that may be a better way to go. I'll do that this weekend.
