12'' sub becoming obsolete?

    I noticed JL Audio, Kenwood Exceleron have 13'' and 13.5'' subs do you think, other companies, will follow this trend and make the 12'' ''OBSOLETE''?

    the 12 will never be obsolete.....


    why would it? The very premise of the 12 is that it is a 12....If someone has room for a 13, great, just like the 7 inch drivers......they all have there place and need. whether it is a 12, 3 18, 24 or 7.8765 inch driver, they will all have there niche in the market.

    12" subs are like potatoes.. you have to have them. period.

    what ever happened to the 20 inch sub...or was it a 21?.help me out here.

    Wow just noticed the A.D.D. of this thread lol....went from the 12 inch subwoofer to food and beer...QUICK haha
