If you are running a sub with the system, you might want to cross over the factory highs with some passive x-overs to eliminate the voice coils of the speakers from slamming into the bottom of the magnet structure.... This is not a good thing.

do you have your bass turned all the way upon your radio?
with out a real good crossover on your factory speakers they will keep "bottoming out".popping.like you said.

try turning the bass down on the radio and see if you still like the sound of your bass.

they do it when just about any cd is in but with the bass comp cd is in its way more noticable since there is no voice and treble too tha cd

Can you VISUALLY watch the speakers when this happens? Are you sure its the speakers and not just ANOTHER problem causing them to "pop"???? And do al the speakers do this at the same time or is just one or two of them?

are all the speakers doing it or just one set.front or rear?

if its the rear then the air pressure from your subs can make them bottom out.

if not then turn your bass down ALL the way.or get a good crossover.
