JL vs. Kappa

    Truthfully... What would be the difference in sound between say.. JL XR650-CSi 2-Way Component Systems and Kappa 60.7CS 6.5" 2-Way Component System?


    I want components in the front. But I think I'll leave the rear with just a good coaxial speaker. (JL or Infinity kappa) - Only because I sit in the front and money's tight.

    oh yeah. and If Caddy answers this I'll kill him. I already know what you think. let other people say something! lol

    Um....dude seriously there wouldn't be much difference...depends on placement...installion...how many beers you had, etc.

    not too much difference? you guys are killing me! lol

    I plan to put the mids in the doors and the tweets in the a-pillars

    The rear speakers will be in the rear deck.

    I have a 1999 Mazda 626 sedan.

    HU - Kenwood 6019
    4channel amp - Alpine F240 (will transform into a 300/4 in the next six months)

    does that help aznboi? oh and i'm too young to drink, lol

    Hell I'm only 18 but its all part of being a teenager lol...we learn from our mistakes...seriously I'd rather live getting in trouble than living without ever getting into sh!t...you learn

    Seriously there isn't much difference between the JLs or the Infinities.

    IT ALL SOUNDS LIKE CRAP...some just not as bad as others

    anyways back to the .. question.. if you can afford it.. prolly just go with the JL's in my opinion. If that is going to push your budget just stick with the Infinity speakers. I personally think the tweets on Infinity are a bit harsh for my ears.. but thats me.

    Ive noticed my Infinity Reference coaxils can be a little harsh when they are pushed loud enough to make people outside the car notice. I wish they had some sort of adjustable crossover.

    My Infinity Reference coaxils are fine.. but the tweets just don't have the clairity that I want from them. I dont know. I want to hear like perfect wispering and perfect talking.. right now the only perfect thing i hear from my tweets are really high piched "tings" and "rings" on some songs. and they sound awesome when the right song is played. but i just want clearer sounds.

    I work at a shop that sells JL, but not Infinity.. so it'll be about the same price for either. But the JL's retail for about 600.. so idk if they're that much better....

    could buy my extra set of new perfect 6.1s for 200 bucks....
    cost 500+ brand new

    DAMNIT CADDY! I KNOW. I KNOW ALREADY. JESUS. I ALREADY TOLD YOU HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE TO MY NAME RIGHT NOW. negative 100 dollars. and the next thing I plan to buy is a ps3 (mainly because I got 300 bucks in Sony Cash from the last holiday)

    Alright... I've thought about it long and hard.. and this is the next possible set up

    Rears = kappa 3way - $165ish
    or
    Rears = Kappa 2way - $100ish
    Front = Kappa Perfects - $200ish
    Amp = Ref7541.i - $185ish

    Are these reasonable or what?

    oh yeah, and if I get these, I'd be selling my 6x8 2way ref's and 6x9 3way ref's and alpine F-240, any takers?

    Um...theres not much difference in the 3 or 2 ways.

    They both have a woofer and a tweeter...cept the 3 ways have a "super tweeter"...but its a passive tweeter...so really it produces sounds that you can't even hear
