I have another amp question for you all. Is it easier to install a second amplifier in my car for a subwoofer? I had circuit city install my first amp and speakers. Im running a 4 channel 650W kicker amp for my speakers but I would love add another amp and a subwoofer or 2. Would I have to go throught the exact same process to install the second amp and speakers OR

could I do it myself and jump the second amp off of my first amp? I would have had a hard time installing the first amp myself. I have a 03 acura tl with the bose system in it and it took the guy and circuit city all day long to add an amp and 4 speakers. Mine was the only car he worked on all day ( I know because I kept dropping by to see if they were finished) anyway, I guess my question is would it be just as difficult (and expensive) to add a second amp with subs?

Depends on what size power wire is already ran and how big of a sub amp you are gonna install.

You can just run a patch rca cable to send the signal to the sub amp.

The kit the guy sold me for the amp I have is a 350W wireing kit. Im not sure if that would work with a second amp or not? It would not be a huge amp in not into extremely loud bass. I just would like some nice crisp clean bass. I don't need it to be really loud.

Damn that will not be enough for another amp...what gauge wire is that??? guessing 10 gauge by the 350 watts.

Also why would you buy a 350 watt amp kit for a 650 watt amp??

Hell if you want some crisp clean bass one 10 or 12 will do

can you go back and find out why he did that?maybe they will replace the wire if you complain enough.

do you think its a safty issue too?too thin of wire.

there is absolutly no room to upgrade!maybe its a sale ploy?now you have to come back to upgrade.

I bet it is a sales ploy. I wish I would have known I wanted to add a sub this soon. I'm sure it wont be cheap to upgrade and add.

Yes...you could have had them install a 4 gauge amp kit and that would leave headroom for a 4 channel and another sub amp...I would go and bitch em out lol
