Really good? Not a chance. Adequate, you betcha. Word on the street is to stay away from Sony if you are serious about caraudio. The regulars here will give you more specifics....

Oh god I have been out of the game for so long but lemme see what I can muster...There is:

    Ikesound.com
    cardomain.com
    endless other sites....

Look into JL, Adire, I have an IDMAX (image dynamics) and I love it, audiobahn, kicker, Rockford.....

There is just too many to name and they are mostly good products. Before I bought my system I did some heavy duty research and I suggest u do the same. There are just soooo many variables...

Ok i have a dilema. I want to instal a pair of subs in my trunk but i dont want to replace the head unit of my car because ill need a custom faceplate and I know that the current factory system in the car wont be able to pick up the signal for the bass. SO i need some peice or a certain amp thats lets me connect the bass directly to the back speakers so the car can play the bass with the radio. Can some one help me out and tell me what exactly i need

You want what is called a Line Output Converter (or LOC):
    http://www.electronixwarehouse.com/car/acc...-converters.htm
This allows you to take the wires that go to speakers and turn them into RCA connections. You then can just hook RCA's from the amp to the LOC and you are all set. However, this NEVER results in as good of quality as you get with an aftermarket Head Unit. I have yet to see anything that will give you top notch sound quality with a factory head unit.

Well after reading some forums i have decided to buy the custom face plate and I want to install a new head unit. I was looking through a bunch of diffrent stereos and narowed it down to a panasonic and JVC both simmilairly priced. The diffrence include that the JVC all around has better sound qually better frequency and better music but what the panasonic has is a sub pre amp output. They both have two pairs of regular preamp outputs but I am wondering what the subwoofer pre amp output has to offer. By the way I am planning to put decent size subs in the trunk so will the subs only work if the head unit has a sub preamp output or would it work with a regular pre am output
