I do not post often here, but I do read many posts... I have not been on in a while, and come back to see that there are very few new posts, and it seems that a couple of the people that brought me here in the first place no longer post... What happened? Not many recent posts by geolemon, or sandt.... what happened to these two...
I've been working a LOT lately, and my home PC broke. Not to mention, the last time I backed it up was about 2 years ago. Arg. I guess I can't complain... I built the computer to be rock solid... and 5 years it's run without giving me any trouble whatsoever, no symptoms, no speed or performance issues, fast booting, etc. I still haven't gotten my new hard drive to see, but there might be salvagable data on the drive... I'm suspecting boot sector corruption even more than a physical hard drive failure... it just won't boot. BIOS prompts me with an "insert boot disk" message (or something to that end). So we'll see. Did I mention I'm also in the middle of buying a new house, and scrambling to finish renovations on this one first?
