Hello Members. First I want to Thank all of your for your support over the last few years. However I have had to make some Tough Choices of late. Currently I am in the Process of Buying my First home, as such I need to Reduce my Expenses drastically to save for things like Closing Costs, Down Payments etc etc etc. Also with my current work schedule and other projects I am fining it hard to give caraudiotalk.com the time it need to be the success I sooo badly wish it to be and that I know it can be given the chance. With both of those factors considered I have made the very hard choice to sell caraudiotalk.com and all software and property assocated with it. Michael, that sucks, but congrats on getting the new house. I'm currently in the process of buying a new first home as well, and totally understand where you're coming from. Good luck with everything. -Austin
Alright guys let's keep this site going. I have no experience/knowledge/time for running the site but if there's someone with the knowhow and commitment to keep the site running and expanding i think we can get a group of us together to fund it. I know that personally i can have $50-100 available by the 30 day deadline that i am willing to contribute. If we get a few more financial backers and someone on the technical side we can keep this little niche of the internet open to us. Who's with me?? B)
Man, that sucks. I wish I had the money to pick it up since I know PhP and HTML pretty damn well and wouldnt need the training. Well I hope everything work out for you and wish you luck with the home man.
Rather than selling the site... why not look into a link exchange type of thing? Advertising to make the site profitable for you, rather than an expense? You are looking to get a little more $$$ freed up to help out with the house payments - why not take advantage of this opportunity that you've worked hard to create for yourself, rather than actually disposing of it?
Well it is more than just the expense aspect, the actually monthly costs are low, it is more of a time aspect.. I have been doing side jobs for people to bring in extra money, my FT job is demanding more and more of my time, plus I have been looking at take at PT job to bring in even more income, I just dont have the time any more Trust me it was not easy to decide to sell it, and I dont want to Leave completely unless the new owner(s) (who ever that is) wants me too......(after all I have pissed alot of people off lol) and I still plan on Finishing what I started with the upgrades if the new owners(s) want that (which is why I including the 40hrs of work)
Thanks That is what I would love to see... I would still be open to offering my Knowlege to the Community as my Time Allows <!--QuoteBegin-The_spacemonkey@Jan 15 2005, 07:48 PM Man, that sucks. [post=23825]Quoted post[/post][/quote] Well money is not always needed, I was always asking for php help and what not for the Site. hell there is still alot of upgrades I would like to get done but until I master the 36hr day .................... it is very exciting though getting a home.... Cant wait till it is over and I move in, Down to about 10 Serious home now (from a list of 90  )
like i said before, if we can get a couple other financial backers, and someone like spacemonkey to run the site, we can keep it open. I don't see any reason why the person who'd be doing the labor on the site would necessarialy need to put money into buying it... but it would be a good idea to document it and get an agreement between the buyers and the person/people running the site so the person running it doesn't just disappear... I'm serious about being able to gurantee $50 and if nesicary i can put in $100 I know there's bound to be a few other people who want to keep this site open. Heck i'm surprised seth isn't offering to get in on this as there's a sectioni for support for his website...
we just started a site called ohioscions .com and we all left garageboard together I will see if they might like to use your name and or help keep it going I have only a few hours a week to play on the internet so I cant really say I could do anything other than help spread the word about the site
he has been MIA, I dont know where he is as far as a grouping buying it, the legalites can all be worked out when/if that emerges.... I do have paperwork at my disposal that I can adapted for that
Mike, Please hit me up on AIM when you get a chance. As Stacy mentioned, I own/run www.OhioScions.com I'm looking to expand our board, as well as help it grow. I'm sure we could work something out. -Dave
If it's mostly a time issue - and you don't mind continuing the financial maintenance aspect of it - we most likely could be quite successful putting together a few people to simply administrate the site, if that would be acceptible... It would allow you to ultimately maintain control of the site, as well. It seems like the majority of your time spent has been in the area of making improvements... maybe even just scaling back on that would free up some time.
I would not be opposed to that persay. Right now the site only costs $10000000000000 a month  What I need, and have asked for, is some one, anyone, to help me with the PHP and GRAPHICS, if I can get some help with that it would go a LONG LONG way
I would but I dont have your AIM info  What did you have in mind, you looking to Buy? Invest? Merge?
Never reveal hosting costs publicly, when you have people paying you to be "premier" members.
well that is just the Hosting, that is not all enclusive, I have Software Fees, Domain Fees, My Time, Graphic Fees, Skins Fee's et ect ect But I see your point. see just like magic ---- gooooone
