Anyone have any experience with Cadence subs, coaxials and components for SQ and SQL installs? Do they offer good Sound Quality?

I have extensive experiance. Their Coax and Comps are stunning for the dollar... easily worth MSRP. They get really loud and sound absolutely superb.

Their subs are not that great. They get loud as hell, but they really are just fart machines.

the use of "SQL" never ceases to amuse me.

    Thanks,
Any model lines better/worse than others for the comps/coaxes?

Why would it amuse you? IMHO it signifies a system designed around SQ but with some compromises made purely for loudness. I tune my ride so I can cruze down the freeway to/from work at 65-70 and have it sound good. Sitting in the garage it sounds very bottom heavy, which is my compromise away from a pure SQ install. It isn't a boom boom car with a box tuned to 40hz with 4 12s or some such thing nor one designed just around bass but it's not designed around pure SQ either.

Honestly, I've only played with their entry level coaxials... and even those had outboard Xovers, got loud as ALL hell, and sounded really good doing it. I wouldn't hesitate to use the entry level coaxials myself - and I'd be happy with them, for normal everyday use. B)

Now, I'll qualify my statements by saying that the models have changed since I used them... but I would be surprised to learn that the changes were for the worse.
