Was just curious as to who all will be making the Trip to Las Vegas for SEMA and CES. SEMA will be November 2-5 CES will be January 6-9 It is a bit early but I was thinking we could make plans to get together and possibly go together if everyone's schedule permits it. Last year was fun but just walking around with my friend who only has a minor interest got a bit boring after awhile.
Just sell a Kidney or something. It would be nice to actually meet the person who is actually more opinionated and strong on his conviction than myself.
you know in person I am very very laid back... Talking politics with Freinds, or Coworkers can lead to very very bad times.... Been there, done that, I many of those t-shirts anymore I avoid Conflicts in person when ever possible... So if you did meet me, I would be Deaf Dumb and Stupid But it would be nice to meet up... Notta going to happen this year, New job so No vacation time till next year
I am pretty much the same way until I am crossed on a subject I feel strongly about. Maybe next year for you then.
You can likely count me in, I can't imagine a circumstance at this point preventing that. In fact, I'll likely be looking to split a room again, last year was fun having roommates. B)
I'm 99% sure I'll be there. I'm only a verrrrrrrrry boring 3.5 hour drive away (I'm in the L.A. area) or a $70 plane ticket away. CES....btw, is what I want to go to. SEMA, I'm not sure. Barring an unforseen emergency, I'll be there  BTW, what is the price of admission at CES?
Oh yes, I was planning on CES, btw... not SEMA (although my vacation to Vegas with my wife nicely corresponded, last year B) ).
I'm sure I will be at CES. Of course from what I understand I will be working the whole time, so I don't know if I will have much time to look at other stuff. But I would be very interested in meeting up with you guys in the evenings. Steven Kephart Adire Audio
maybe it's time to sticky this? definatly not SEMA for me. working on the CES thing...just need to lay this spl season to rest first.
My wife is working on our hotel and air reservations right now. We messed up not doing it last week - had 3 nights at the Sahara for $119, $119, and $49... this week, the prices jumped up to $179, $179, and $49. :ranting: Anyway, two guys from the local shop here might be going too... although they might be driving, so who knows. And my wife wants to go too. Have to figure out what to do with her the night we all decide to head next door to the adult entertainment convention... but hey. So, I should actually have my reservations done tomorrow... I'll find out any leads on decently priced hotels that are near the convention center that aren't outragious. ...of course, now Las Vegas DOES have the monorail that goes to the convention center, making things a LOT more convenient, I'm sure. B)
We got the hotel at a $129, $129, $49 Expedia rate, even though we didn't book through Expedia - the Sahara matched prices. (if you book through Expedia, they charge you for all nights at once, and the purchase is non-refundable - which isn't the case with booking direct ). Now, we're working on the flight... We might fly in on Thursday evening (we are trying to get a direct flight, which is really hampering our flight times), stay in a cheap motel or something that night just to spend the night, then move over to the Sahara for the next three, so that we can attend the show all three days. Otherwise, I would have to fly in on Friday, and arrive too late to see the show at all that day - waste of a day. Anyone else flying in on Thursday?
Well I couldnt get much time at all off for SEMA. All I get is to leave at 12p on one of the days. I was going to do Friday but I just realized that they close early on Friday so I think I will try and make it Thursday.
