I realised that I can no longer listen to songs with bad bass tracks. There were songs that I liked before I had my subs but I cant listen to them anymore b/c the bass is so bad or basically non existent. I was just listening to Thugz Mansion by Tupac. Its the one with the r&b twist thrown in. Oh man the bass beat is so simple but sooooooo hootttttt. Its just a thump but its so clean, powerful and orgasmic....ooo ooo ooo
hehehe.... it happened to me, still got some primal SPL rages in my body, but dang... its mainly SQ, at a decent volume for me now.
Im already an SQ nut! I hate distorted bass so much....thank god I got rid of those damn Comp Vrs. I seriously am in love with this sub its so damn clean...the only distortion comes from everything in my car shaking. Its so loud too...but the gains are set for optimal sq performance b/c before the sub would just completely muffle my speakers. IDMAX is the shit...good call Mike! Im afraid to port this thing in my car cuz I need to sell the damn thing eventually....lol
You're so right! It's sad when you're like hey this song has awesome bass (listening on something that goes down to 50hz) and then you get it into the car and it has nothing at all! Damn I hate that!
lol *hangs head in shame* Daily driver consist of 2 6" subs and a koda comp set runing of tube power and a 31 band eq and soon to be a denon deck
The sound car isn't your daily car? Sounds like me in my Pathfinder right now... Alpine 7894 MP3 head unit playing through a hi-jacked factory amp into a pair of many-year-old Alpine coax's that I just keep on hand because they sound pretty decent for "interim" setups...
Talk about a "downgrade" to SQ.... Sold a pair of Zapco c2k 6.0s and soon to sell a pair of 10w7s to down grade to something along the lines of a JL stealthbox because I feel the low end in the Utopias is pretty good and I just need something to pick it up where it drops off.
