Ok, desipte the recent events with RE, I still feels ok enough to purchase 2 brahma 15's from our freindly neighborhood Adire Dealer..

    Now comes the Hard part

    Selecting a amp

I am thinking about a MTX T8100D, however with I really dont like the looks of them this year, and I have been unable to find any closouts on last years stock, not surptising considering we are almost in to 2004 :lmfao:

So select a amp, Preferably under $500 that will power the brahma's with about 700-750 watts

either 1 or 2 amps, as long as the pair is under $500

Lets see what you can come up with :D

    2 brahma are .5 or 2 ohm

    Cadence is out

    the MTX is 1600w at 2ohm ;)

Mike, did you bump your head? Adire... :lmfao:

    My vote, PG Tantrum 1200.1

It will give you ~1500 wrms at the 2 ohm load you are looking for. I bought mine, authorized (I checked the PG website ;) ), for $470 out the door.

hmm pg. do they have any authorized online dealers? I refuse to shop at my local store...

as far as Me Buying adire, I never really had a problem with their products, just what dan said to me, I still dont fully believe it was a misunderstanding, but it does not really matter at this point anyway, but consideering everyone and their mothers uncle is a dealer for them now ... well it does not matter

SoundDomain is an authorized PG dealer...they also have some of the refurbs left for $100 less....this would of been my second choice..as the mtx was my first..there is also this tsunami1800T...but i am not sure how you fell about it...then are the 2000-2500w models from crossfire,dei,orion....they all put out their power at 2ohms....but they can also get pricey....or you could use a pair of 1000w strappable amps...put this can get pricey also...and now i am rambleing

I forgot about SD, have to go their afte work, this 56K crap sucks big time

As far as the Tsunmi, I would not have a problem with them, but I thought they were also 1ohm optimized, I need a 1600+ watts amp for 2ohm

and the 2500watters from DEI, are like $850 WHOLESALE, and like $1250 online, no thank you

I like the DEI2400D... I would love to run 1 of them and a pair of Brahma 12s. However, a matching comp amp and the 2400D will put me out over $1600. I am not in the mood to spend that dough right now.

PG will be a good deal. I like the MTX, personally. My good friend hitme had some MTX and they were solid performers.

I'll look into a couple things for you Mike, gimme a couple days.

Oh yeah, Cadence Z1500 is 750X2@1 ohm or 1500X1@2 ohms...

It is new. But I am having a helluva time getting a Cadence dropshipper

the 1800T puts out it's power at 2ohms(1800w rms @13.8v @ 2ohm)....i was very impressed with some of the internal pics i saw also...i just can't remember where i viewed them at :bash: that cadence mentioned above would be sweet...if you could find one online...but then i would be worried about warrenty issues

tsunami1800T = 1800 watts @ 2 ohm. Not 1 ohm stable to my knowlege. Very sexy looking though IMO, but I havent seen alot of amps to justify that statement. ;p

The blue LED on top looks really nice.

How come no one has mentioned the ever-affordible JBL 1200.1?
Heck, you could almost get two of them for your budget.
