I have a 2006 for f150 fx4 extended cab. I was wondering if and how to place 2 12" subs under my back seat. Do they even make such a box? If so what is the best method on how to do this. For example, where should i place my amps and a box that will not eliminate the back seats or all of the leg room. I have not yet bought any subs or amps because im currently overseas. And that was my other question should i go with a shallow mount speaker. i want as much sound and bass as possible. I do not mind spending money, just tell me what needs to be done. thank you for the help.

Supercrewsound.com and fox acoustics..among others make prefab boxes that fit under our back seats in a screw. Most boxes for 12's that i have seen require a rear seat lift which can be done with a kit or by searching f150online.com for a diy method. On the other hand, there are many boxes for dual 10s that fit right under our seats and dont take up the leg room. Do a search for the fox box. Many people, including me, have the dual 10 box by fox acoustics with JL 10W3s and it sounds very good. I recently went to this set up from a single 10 in a Qlogic enclosure and its a huge difference.

As for the amps, you remove the rear seats and eberything can be placed on the rear wall. I would suggest going to f150online.com or any of the F150 forums and you can find pics of hundreds of installs.

Also, any good car audio place can build an enclosure, butnmost that i have seen that were built with keeping 100% function of the rear seats in mind look very much like the fox box or supercrewsound.com box. They all have about .65 air space and most require a shallow mount sub but the fox box does have a little more mounting depth and when researching what subs to use the 10W3 came up most often. Good luck.

    Three month old thread?

Anyway, After looking at those boxes from supercrewsound.com and fox acoustics, I'm not impressed. They really look like basic cheap mass produced boxes and the quality looks questionable. I doubt that I would ever recommend them

I agree, but remember, an audio shop has a reputation to maintain. So the quality from the audio shop would be much much better.

The only prefab boxes that I would ever recommend would be from ProBox. I have dealt with many of their boxes and they are Solid.
