I am having cop troubles and am wanted to get back, but do it LEGALLY! So, here is my predicament, EVERYTIME i drive my car the cop finds some way to screw with me. I don't care that i got a ticket, and I know they can do about anyting they want to. When i drive down mainstreet, the cop will be going the opposite way and u-turn around and speed after me, i go about 20 down it when the speed limit is 25, and he somehow catches up to me without lights or anything. Then, he follows pretty close to me until I turn, sometimes he follows me and other times he will take an alternate route and catch up to me anyways. tonight he was going down mainstreet when I was about to turn onto itwhen he basically stopped until i went in front of him. Then, I lost him, while abiding by all traffic rules and then he sped past me then u-turned again then did the same following thing. Now, could this be harrasment or anything that could get him into trouble if I can prove it?
i'm not sure if you can do anything about it. I'd just waive at him and smile. lol What you could do is just stop or pull over and just let him pass. he should get tired after a while. lol
lol, ya i wave and smile, but its always dark, it gets dark at 5:30. and i did pull into a driveway one time and he like basically stopped and went down the road and waited for me.
now if its the same officer/s then i would document the incidents(video or tape recorder). maybe there is an office you could call. or have your dad come with you sometime and when this happens have him stop and speak with the officer. other than that if something goes down stop at a well lit area with a lot of people around if possible. you never know about some cops these days. good luck. p.s maybe its that sweet ride of yours. or the fact that your 15.
most likely the fact that your 15, not that your ride isn't sweet cuz it is. sounds like a hungry cop to me waiting for you to get nervous and screw up.
Cops are stupid! I hate cops so much... the ones who go around hunting for people that are in a hurry... Not the ones that bust criminals I'm talkin about the no good cops that like to write... If I was you I would have someone with you all the time so they could record it and then get a bunch of recordings and then go from there... just don't do somethin to make him mad, he'll slit your tires... lol Good luck man...
Me and my dad discussed it and he said it is just the fact that i am the only one in town with an oldschool black car with chrome wheels. its like the image of a greeser or something, and that i am 15 and have already got my liscence pulled. Our solution is that hes a punkazz kid cop that got picked on all his life and is now using me as an escape lol. He said if it happens pullover and call him, he will come with the vette and have a "word or two" with the dunbazz. I asked my upperclassman friends and the cop has done the same to them, just not to the extent and only once. he does it to me everyday. I cant wait till the day its light out so i can wave and smile at him and he can actually see me! If i go under the speed limit then at a new speed limit speed up rapidly, without spinning the tires or anything am i violating any laws? for example, i am going 20 in a 25, then the speed limit changes to 35 and i put her almost to the floor without spinning the tires till i reach 35.
I'm never in a hurry, I always allow enough time so i can cruise 5-10 under the speed limit. I also always wear my seatbelt, due to a couple friends dying due to them not using them. I double check my lights all the time too so they dont have a reason to stop me.
if it's everyday then its harassment plain and simple. i would go with your father to the station and speak with him and find out why. if it persists then a talk with his supervisor is in order. i hope if you speak with him one on one things will change.
alright, if it continues anymore, i will have a talk with him, he is a little guy and i am 175lbs of muscle and 6'2" so he probably wont give me any problems if i approach him in a polite way.
You said your 15 and have had your lincense pulled. If this cop knows you dont have a license to drive but he sees you driving everyday what do you expect him to do?? Your lucky here in So Cal if your caught driving w/o a lincense you get a fat ticket and your car gets impounded. What does he tell you when he pulls you over. Do you get a ticket everytime??
dude its not harrassment of any kind...you are driving underage...your breaking the law. I see no wrong in what the police officer is doing.
well if you do have your license, i would pull over, get out and go up to him and ask why he does what hes doing.
oh...didn't know that ppl could drive at 15 there...well sh!t than I'd flip him off and drive normal. Carry a camera with you and when you see him start recording
ok thanks guys, and i think i will do that, and yes i do have a liscence. in south dakota, you can get a learners permit at 14 and hold it for 6 months, if u pass the driving test you can have a retricted permit which allows you to drive alone from 6am till 10pm so i am driving completely legally and i give him ABSOLUTEL no other reason to follow me. i had my liscence pulled for 30 days for a ticket but i got it back already. and it was a while ago.
