wow you guys last night i was working on my truck( picks to come soon) and was listening to music on my computer. ok no probs outside. so i come in an put it on the charger and take a shower. i come out and turn it on only to get a black screen and 3 annoying buzzes every few seconds. i was so like WTF!!. so i leave it. i get to work and google my prob. it said" no ram issue" so i thought my chips fried or something. so i got home and removed the batt to get to the ram and one of the screws holding then in place was unscrewed. so i removed them and reinserted them and tightened then in place and...........it worked!! but i guess you could figure that out from me posting this.lol man i thought i was EEF'ed. cause ram for this guy aint cheap. well sorta 50 each @ 512 mb, but if i had to get new ones i would upgrade to more like 1 gig each. those were 99 each. ouch oh well im good for now.^_^
F%$# it did it again. the middle screw holding the ram in is kinda stripped out. so i wedged some folded paper in between the batt and the metal strip to keep them in tight for now. im going to best buy right after i get out of the shower.
I wonder how that happened. was the comp in your car with the subs hitting? maybe the bass stripped it. lol
no no nothing like that. i forgot that some weeks ago when i was having probs i took them out and must not have installed them ALL the way in cause they just fell out of their slot in front of the guy. he popped them in and screwed it back and all is good for now. boy do i fell dumb.
yeah really. found out i could buy some ram cheap! 1 gig cards for 32 each. not bad if i needed some. oh and i didnt know you could do half and half. so i could have bought one for 1.5 gigs. then get another later. to go to 2 gigs.
