Well the 19Ov.2 has unusually large screw holes...this is what happens when the screws are strong enough also...lol

I thought something was wrong when I could hear and see the sub jumping up and down in the box lol.

I went to lowes and got some small #10 washers and used some beefier drywall screws...all is fine and dandy. Really tightly mounted now.

And the two that survived are on the end.

Also got this box done tonight for a 15L7 for my friends Camry.

I charged him nothing...hes a very good friend of mine. He just paid for the wood. I've built his last box for his two 15L7s. But he only has an amp for one so we built this.

Once again, a very nice box azn. I'm sure that L7 will pound in that box.

Kinda funny about the screws. did they break be cause of the weight of the sub or because of the bass?

nah because the screw holes are unusually large and they were barely clamping down on the sub on one side of the screw head...the force of the sub just snapped 6 of the screws off

So I had to go get some washers so the screws would clamp down around the whole screw hole...also used beefier screws

im going to have to use your wood glue trick on my probox.i,ve had the sub in and out of it once too many times and the holes are getting wore out.

the term hambone comes to mind..its a work thing.

the joke went like this.how do you fix a wore out v???....HAMBONE.

put in the ham pull out the bone.lol.good as new.

Installed today...sounded pretty good. sub begs for more power though. Trunk space has been regained!!

He was happy with it. Port velocity is super low.

Hm... speaking of breaking things, I read about a guy that bought a Mofo-12 by Power Acoustik, and he said that you NEED a ported box because in a sealed box the pressure broke his sealed enclosure. Is that possible? He also quote "I would recommend these over a JL W7 any day".
Jus wondering, My next buy might be two Mofo 12's in like a 5.2cu ft ported box.

Mofo's are mediocre. I wouldn't suggest them. They are low quality.

You don't need a ported box. Sealed boxes blow sides and seams when they are POORLY constructed. That guy probably bought a cheap prefab. Prefabs use cheap glue.

A W7 would rape a Mofo is sound quality and output...that guy doesn't really know much IMO

i meet a guy at a show once and he blew out a whole mess of his screws in his box.the screws holding the subs.

he was also running 4 10's and 6 or 7000 watts.

too much power can do it too.

indeed pedro...lol i don't think a mofo could handle that much power....it would fail before the box blew lol.
