hey, looks like a nice unit, i have a pioneer DEH-P7700MP, i love it. You could just hook up the red, yellow and black wire under your hood at the battery, you don't need speakers hooked up BUT make sure each wire coming from the deck is taped and not going to short anything or any other wire, it only takes a second to fry it. The red and yellow wires are positive so you could twist them together and put on the positive of the battery and the black wire is negative and goes to the ground of the battery. Get some extra wire and strip it a lot so you can wrap it around your battery terminal or wherever is good. And watch the positive wire from the battery to deck, DO Not let it ground to the car At All. Tape everything!! Can do the same thing with a 12 volt dc adapter if you have one.
I HaTe tHaT!! My buddy broke the volume knob off of my beautiful pioneer, oh man i wanted to throw him out of my moving car and then get out and thrash him. Still gets me mad just thinking about it. But now NO-ONE is allowed to touch my stuff Ever lol. Better that way.
yes, the black wire can go right to the negative of the battery terminal, which is grounded to your car.
alright fellas i got some bad news i tried it but it jus doesnt turn on or anything wich sucks cuz i love that premier
exept wen i my dad tried it with this power test or some lil thing that looks like a scewdriver with a light but he touch that 2 this wire that says it the ILL some light turned on but wasnt able 2 open or turn on wat do u guys thinkis wrong with it
are you hooking both the red and yellow wire to positive of your battery? That screwdriver thing is just a continuity tester. Checks for broken wires or circuits.
x2. And if theres a fuse....make sure its not blown. Those units are known for not powering on and/or opening. Ive fixed the same exact model before. Send it to me....ill fix it. lol
